Sample Question1:
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Children should help their parents with household chores as soon as they are old enough. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Answer:
I agree with the idea that kids should help with housework right away.
I feel this way for several reasons.
First, doing household tasks teaches children really valuable skills. For example, I was required to prepare breakfast for my little brother every day before school, so when I grew up and moved away to attend college it was really easy to prepare healthy meals for myself. As a result, I have always been in great shape both physically and mentally.
Second, family members can bond when they share responsibilities. To be more specific, young people are sometimes shy, but if they spend a lot of time with their parents doing chores they might open up a bit. Accordingly, they will be more likely to discuss their feelings.
Sample Question2:
Some people like to shop at stores that sell many different types of products, while others like to shop at stores that specialize in a single type of product. Which do you prefer? Include detail sand examples to support your explanation.
Answer:
I think it is better to go to stores that focus on one type of product.
I feel this way for several reasons.
First, sepcialized stores have more knowledgeable staff. For example, last month I needed to buy a new laptop computer, so I went to a department store to look for a good deal. I asked a clerk there to recommend one, but he knew even less about computers than me. According to him, salesman at store sell so many different things every day that it's impossible to gain a comprehensive understanding of any of them.
Second, specialty stores have a wider selection. To be more specific, a store that sells only cameras doesn't have to waste shelf space on computers, printers or cell-phones. They can fill the whole shop with cameras, and as a result customers have a whole lot of options to choose from.
Sample Question3:
Some companies have rules that forbid employees from using personal cell phones during working hours. Do you think this is a good idea? Why or whynot? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Answer:
I think it is a terrible idea for companies to tell workers that they can't use their phones.
I feel this way for several reasons.
First, it is really insulting, because it makes employees feel disrespected. For example, for the past year I have worked at a supermarket that makes all staff members leave their phones in their lockers during their shifts. I feel like they don't trust us and think we will sneak off and call our friends when no one is watching us. As a result, I plan to find a new job as soon as possible.
Second, people need their phones to deal with emergencies. To be more specific, if one of our family members is in a serious accident, someone will probably call us right away. Without our personal phone, we won't hear the news. The world is more dangerous than ever nowadays, so we need to be accessible at all times.

Sample Answer1:
According to the announcement the campus fitness center will be closed.
This is because the school can't afford to maintain it properly, and students can go to private gyms in the city for free.
The woman opposes this.
To begin with, she points out that they will still have to maintain the building even if the fitness center closes because it could become a dangerous fire hazard. On top of that, it will be expensive to tear down the building and replace it with something else.
Moreover, she argues that all of the gyms in the city are quite far from the university, so it could be hard for students to reach them if they don't have their own car. Additionally, it can be hard to find a taxi from campus into the city late at night.
Sample Answer2:
According to the announcement the campus auditorium will be demolished, and a new one will be constructed.
This is because it is very old and in poor condition, and it is too small for the current number of students enrolled at the school.
The man does not support this change.
To begin with, he points out that the auditorium is historically important, as it was one of the first things built on campus. Therefore, he does not want it to be destroyed. Instead, he thinks it should be preserved in its current condition.
Moreover, he argues that he has never seen the auditorium completely full. He says that there are no events which the entire student body attends. Most of the time only small audiences go to the plays and concerts held there, so he thinks it isn't necessary to make the auditorium any bigger.

- The lecturer elaborates on this by providing an example/two examples.
陈述理由:

Sample Answer:
The reading is about revealing coloration.
It states that this is a strategy used by certain animals to protect themselves. By suddenly revealing colorful parts of their body they can confuse predators and escape.
The professor elaborates on this by using two examples.
To begin with, he mentions that while the front wings of the peanut bug blend in with its environment, its back wings have very colorful spots. These back wings are usually closed, but when it attacked by a predator it can quickly open them and reveal the colors. As a result, it is able to escape to safety.
Next, he says that hidden parts of the morpho butterfly's wings are very shiny and can reflect sunlight. When a bird approaches the butterfly it suddenly flaps it wings to reflect light and confuse it. The bird can only see the light reflected from the wings, and therefore the butterfly is able to evade capture.

陈述第一部分:
- First, she describes...

Sample Answer:
The lecturer explains pricing strategies by giving two examples.
To begin with, she describes setting a high initial price. Often, companies will make a product expensive at first in order to give it a positive image. People know it will be cheaper if they wait for a little while, but they are willing to pay a lot to own it immediately. Many high-tech products like video recorders, cameras and cell phones are all expensive at first, but much more affordable later on.
Second, she mentions how companies might also give their merchandise a low initial price. Sometimes the market is saturated with a certain type of product, and as a result manufacturers need to undercut their competitors. For example, she mentions a new computer company trying to gain market share. They set a low initial price to both attract people not usually interested in computers, and get existing buyers to switch brands. In the future, the company can make money selling parts and accessories to these people.
These examples illustrate how companies determine the initial prices of their goods.
